In summer 2017, I interned at the Herald and News in Klamath Falls, Ore., as part of the Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism. In 2018 the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association awarded me first place in business coverage for a series on algae and third place for best story of the year for a feature on Hayden Palm, a young woman dying from a rare cancer.
